Victoria Falls, often referred to as “The Smoke That Thunders” (from the local name Mosi-oa-Tunya), is one of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Located on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major tourist attraction known for its breathtaking views, powerful spray, and vibrant rainbows.
The falls are part of the Zambezi River and stretch over 1.7 kilometers wide, plunging more than 100 meters into the gorge below. Beyond its natural beauty, Victoria Falls is also a hub for adventure tourism, offering activities like white-water rafting, bungee jumping, and scenic helicopter flights.
