Destination: Matopo Hills
The area holds deep cultural and spiritual significance, especially for the local Ndebele people, and has long been a place of worship and ancestral reverence. It’s also the burial site of Cecil John Rhodes, whose grave lies atop “World’s View,” offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding hills.
Matopos is part of Matobo National Park, which is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including both black and white rhinos, leopards, and a wide array of bird species—especially raptors like the Verreaux’s eagle.
